The Senior Manager, Strategy will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving high-impact strategic initiatives across the organization. You’ll lead the development and execution of advertising strategy projects, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights and innovative go-to-market approaches that position our brand and offerings for growth. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and creative intuition. You’ll be part of a high-performing, collaborative team at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and analytics. Your work will directly influence how we reach, engage, and grow our audience through bold, data-backed strategies. This is a temporary 8-month assignment. Responsibilities of the Senior Strategy Manager:
- Advertising Strategy Development:
- Identify key business opportunities and challenges across the advertising and marketing landscape
- Develop and articulate clear, insight-driven strategies that influence campaign planning, brand positioning, and channel optimization
- Strategic Problem Solving:
- Scope complex business problems impacting multiple teams
- Develop and assess strategic options using deep analysis (e.g., cost/benefit, risk assessment, resource planning) to drive viable advertising solutions
- Build Business Cases for Innovation:
- Craft compelling business cases for strategic marketing and advertising initiatives, supported by robust data and insight
- Present recommendations to senior leadership and influence key stakeholders
- Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as a strategic advisor to cross-functional teams including creative, media, analytics, sales, and product
- Build trusted relationships to ensure alignment and drive execution on strategic priorities
- Conduct Market & Competitive Analysis:
- Stay ahead of industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to uncover new growth opportunities and translate them into actionable insights
- Modeling & Forecasting:
- Develop scenario models and predictive frameworks to inform decisions on media mix, campaign spend, customer segmentation, and other high-impact levers
- Insight Storytelling:
- Leverage data and customer insights to create clear, compelling narratives that drive strategic alignment and inspire action across teams and levels
- Thought Leadership:
- Become a subject matter expert in advertising strategy, media performance, and consumer behavior
- Provide strategic thought leadership to continuously evolve our marketing effectiveness
Qualifications of the Senior Strategy Manager:
- MBA or Master’s degree in Business Strategy, Mathematics, Economics or related field preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in strategic planning, advertising, brand marketing, or management consulting (6+ years with a Master's) --- *preference for candidate to have 6-8 years of relevant experience*
- Proven track record of leading advertising or business strategy initiatives from concept through execution
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills; experienced in test-and-learn frameworks, campaign performance analysis, and financial impact assessments
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; able to craft and deliver executive-level presentations with confidence
- Influential leader with the ability to drive alignment and build consensus across all levels of an organization
- Deep knowledge of industry trends, media platforms, customer segmentation, and performance marketing metrics
- Highly collaborative, proactive, and comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
- Experience in advertising/media agency or a strategic role within a brand marketing team preferred
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, or similar) preferred

The pay rate range provided is a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, location and/or being pursued and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
