Quantitative User Experience Researcher I (US - Contract)

We’re looking for quantitative user experience researchers who can help us measure customer experiences on a global scale for multiple brands, across devices and platforms, in a dynamic and collaborative environment for a 6-month temporary assignment. If you are a problem solver with a strong sense of curiosity that is grounded in cognitive sciences, this could be the role for you!

As a Quantitative User Researcher I working on our CX Measurement Team, you will work with designers, analysts, product managers, and engineers to measure the attitudes, experiences, and interactions across all Expedia Group’s marketplaces. You will use quantitative research techniques, such as survey development and distribution, experimental design, statistics, and should have a working knowledge of psychometrics. 

What You’ll Do:  

  • Define and analyze quantitative research to provide insights on measurement strategy and survey usage 
  • Support idea generation within team settings by contributing knowledge about the user, their behaviors, and their needs 
  • Work with your mentor or manager to identify and recommend the best methods to answer customer-centric product research questions and prioritize them according to schedule and opportunity constraints 
  • Assist in running and ensuring quality of research within your area of focus 
  • Help to consolidate research findings from studies into a concise, impactful story for Customer Experience and product teams 

Who You Are: 

  • BS degree in Social Sciences, HCI, Cognitive Psychology or similar areas (Masters degree a plus) or equivalent work experience 
  • Coursework examples of research can be considered as professional experience 
  • Knowledge or experience related to writing detailed study plans including goals, metrics, and experimentation protocol 
  • Training or practical experience with quantitative research methods and basic statistics 
  • Ability to articulate quantitative research results through written and spoken communication 
  • Ability to execute on research studies in a timely manner while delivering high quality and accurate results in a team environment and/or individually 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • A power user of one or more statistical software package: R preferred
